Cordova Center Worship

Feb 5 2012 - 7:00pm
Feb 5 2012 - 8:00pm

Dave Olson, our prison minister, coordinates a monthly worship service at the Cordova Center on the first Sunday of every month. The Cordova Center is a local halfway house to which formerly incarcerated men and women have been released.

This is a rich opportunity to expose the residents to the Gospel while they are in this transitional stage. At some point they may be allowed to attend our worship services and we want to give them an idea of what the Gospel is about.

Dave relies heavily on men of the congregation to help him conduct these worship services by bringing lessons, leading singing, serving the Lord's Supper, and praying. It is also important that women be a part of this effort so that the women attending the service can be made to feel welcome and comfortable. If you are interested in being a part of this great work, or if you just have questions about it, contact Dave at the church office at 272-7584.

Youth Devotional

Feb 5 2012 - 7:30pm
Feb 5 2012 - 9:00pm

Our Youth Group, grades 7 through 12, has a devotional the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month after our evening worship.

This event generally consists of singing and a short message from the Word of God. After the devotional the teens enjoy eating and fellowshiping until time to close the evening.

Volunteers open their homes and furnish the food for these evenings. If you would like to help with this effort, please see Russ or Lindsay Wallace. They would greatly appreciate your generosity.
