Cordova Center Worship
Dave Olson, our prison minister, coordinates a monthly worship service at the Cordova Center on the first Sunday of every month. The Cordova Center is a local halfway house to which formerly incarcerated men and women have been released.
This is a rich opportunity to expose the residents to the Gospel while they are in this transitional stage. At some point they may be allowed to attend our worship services and we want to give them an idea of what the Gospel is about.
Dave relies heavily on men of the congregation to help him conduct these worship services by bringing lessons, leading singing, serving the Lord's Supper, and praying. It is also important that women be a part of this effort so that the women attending the service can be made to feel welcome and comfortable. If you are interested in being a part of this great work, or if you just have questions about it, contact Dave at the church office at 272-7584.
