Deaf Leadership Conference
The Anchorage Church of Christ is hosting our 1st Annual Deaf Leadership Conference April 10-13, 2011. If you work with the Deaf in any leadership capacity, whether as an official "minister" or as a volunteer, we hope you will join us for this groundbreaking event. We also invite at least one elder from each congregation represented.
The conference theme is "Brotherhood: Keeping the Unity" with Ephesians 4:1-6 as the key verse. We will post the final program schedule at a later date. When it gets closer to time, we will post information on lodging.
The event is free, but we ask that you register online.
Our Alaska Statewide Lectureship, April 8-10, immediately precedes our event. We will have ASL interpreters for the Deaf, so you might want to come a few days early and participate in the lectureship as well. Rather than using Alaska preachers as we usually do, we'll have "Lower 48" preachers speaking. The conference starts Sunday night, April 10, at 6:00 and the closing ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday evening, April 13.
