Reset Your Clocks
It's here again!
It's time to scramble our brains!
Don't forget to re-set your clocks Saturday night, March 10, before you go to bed. Remember, it's "spring forward" (set one hour later).
Then start thinking summer with longer days and warmer temperatures
Winter Quarter Begins
Today's class is the beginning of the winter quarter of 2012.
If you haven't been attending Bible class, Sunday is a great time to start! We have classes for all ages.
Fall Quarter Ends
Tonight's class marks the end of the fall quarter of 2012.
The winter quarter begins Sunday, December 2, at 9:00 AM.
If you haven't been attending Bible class, Sunday is a great time to start! We have classes for all ages.
Quilting Extravaganza
If Black Friday shopping isn't for you but you love to quilt, sew, or do other crafts, join in the fun and fellowship of working with your sisters for as long as you like. The Deaf chapel will be set up with tables for quilting, but there is plenty of space in the foyer, etc. for other projects. The point is to concentrate on geting a lot of work done and have fun being with your sisters in Christ while doing it.
Bring your project materials, including your own sewing machine, Thanksgiving leftovers for lunch, and a snack to share throughout the day.
Some will stay late into the night so plan to stay as late as you want.
Thanksgiving Feast
Each year we host a Thanksgiving Feast here at the church building. The menu is the usual Thanksgiving fare with each family choosing what they want to bring to share with others that attend. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun and fellowship.
The building will be open at 10:00 to make time for preparations here. We'll eat around 1:00, play games the rest of the afternoon, then probably eat again before leaving later in the evening.
If this sounds like the kind of day you'd like to have, just see the list on the front door and indicate what food you'll bring. Don't forget to bring a game or two and plan to have a wonderful time. You can stay as late as you choose. Just be sure to take your dishes home when you go.
Daylight Saving Time Ends
It has been a great summer, but looking outside and at the calendar we must accept that it is over!
Today is the last day of Daylight Saving Time. In order to be on time for Bible study tomorrow morning, you must reset your clock one hour earlier before going to bed tonight, Saturday, November 3. The official time change is 2:00 AM Sunday, November 4, but who wants to get up at that time to make the change?
Standard Time Begins
At 2:00 AM this morning Daylight Saving Time ended and Standard Time began. So if you want to be where you want to be and be on time - hopefully you reset your clocks last night. If not, better do it now!
Remember, it's "fall back, spring forward" so set them back one hour.
