Youth Forum with Nathan Randolph

Mar 25 2011 - 5:00pm
Mar 27 2011 - 11:30am

We are very excited to have Nathan Randolph scheduled to be with us as our guest speaker for the 2011 Youth Forum. Nathan is the son of Glenn and Janice Randolph. Glenn (a.k.a. "Randy") was our pulpit minister for several years in the 1980s, so we knew Nathan as a young boy! But we've heard great things about him since he's grown up and become a youth minister.

Watch this spot for more information as it becomes available.

Work Weekend at MSBC

Jun 25 2010 - 6:00pm
Jun 26 2010 - 6:00pm

The weather is warmer, the creeks are flowing, and summer is upon us. To many of us that means one thing - Midnight Sun Bible Camp can't be too far off!

But before camp can happen, we have a lot of preparation work to do. The winter seems to bring a workload of tasks that must be done before we can open the camp for campers. And that takes a lot of hands to accomplish the necessary work in a very short length of time.

A lot of the work doesn't require any special skills, just a willing spirit. Of course, some jobs do require specialized abilities such as carpenter and electrical.

No matter what your skill level, we need you. It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, work with your family and other Christians, and prepare the camp for the many that will enjoy it this summer.

John Coffman's Structural Analysis Class Continues

Sep 11 2010 - 8:00am
Sep 11 2010 - 10:00am

John's class on Saturday mornings continues. The study is called Bible Structural Analysis Through Inductive Study - A Graphics Approach, but don't let that scare you off!

If you want to learn how to study God's Word, come to this class. It is simply a matter of reading the text, reading the text, and reading the text again. Then we let the Scriptures speak for themselves. After reading the text several times it becomes clearer just what it says to us. We don't have to come up with our own interpretation and we don't have to go find out what others say the text means.

We can soon begin to graphically reproduce the text. Graphically reproduce? That just means to put the text into a different format so we can see the depth of each phrase and how it relates to other phrases.

If you're a serious student of the Bible, you won't find a better way to spend two precious hours each Saturday morning for ten weeks.
